THE PROCESS: SOLAR INFUSIONS

My favorite process by far is crafting solar infused oils for our products. While Solar infusion takes quite a bit more time, I find that the outcome is well worth it. I love mixing together new blends and seeing the result! Plus, sometimes it just feels nice to slow down and enjoy the process. 

One of my favorite infusions is made with Calendula. I first discovered Calendula when I was pregnant and needed something to help with scarring. A yoga teacher recommended it to me and I haven't looked back since. It's by far one of the most healing ingredients. I use it in salves and you'll soon be able to find it in one of our new products! Calendula is a natural antiseptic which helps to speed up healing of wounds. It is great for nearly all skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis to name a few!) I love to add dried rose petals and geranium to add a light scent to each infusion.
