Natural ingredients to boost collagen production

We’ve all heard of collagen, obviously. It’s the magical protein that keeps you looking young and fresh. I’m sure you’ve seen the drinks and supplements that have “added collagen” plastered on the front.

We have a different approach.

Collagen production can be delayed and even destroyed by free radicals

Because collagen plays a vital role in supporting the outer-most layer of the skin (known as the skin barrier), having a sufficient amount of collagen helps the skin barrier do its job, which is to act as a gatekeeper – preventing free radicals from harming the skin.

All Retinoids behave like or are derived from Vitamin A. Retinol is Vitamin A, and is a type of Retinoid. Retinol increases collagen production. The power of Vitamin A is sometimes underestimated. This is going to increase your overall collagen production, fighting wrinkles, and fine lines.

Now let’s talk about our friend Vitamin C. In addition to its antioxidant functions, Vitamin C regulates the synthesis of the structural protein collagen. Bottom line: Vitamin C = more collagen.

That’s why we have created our skincare products to be powerhouses for Vitamin A + C

Rosehip + Citrus Facial Oil

Rich in both vitamins A, C, and the powerful fatty-acid Linoleic Acid, Rosehip Oil moisturizes skin while controlling oil production, healing active breakouts, and fading scarring. This vitamin-rich oil also improves the overall tone and texture of the skin.

Why Rosehip?

Rosehip is known for its makeup of smaller molecules. Because of this, the oil penetrates way deeper, hitting a new level of collagen. Although it is not going to have the same effect as retinol, it is probably a close relative. This natural alternative is going to provide the same benefits as your typical retinol product but without the added preservatives or harsh chemicals.

This is an all-natural oil that is going to prolong the wear of your makeup, balance oil production, and essentially leave your skin feeling like a million bucks.

Aloe + Willow Bark Vitamin C Serum

Okay since we are on the subject, I cannot leave out our best selling Vitamin C Serum. This product is a game-changer. We know that Vitamin C obviously brightens the skin, but it also has dramatically effective age-defying benefits.

Why Vitamin C?

I know I've already raved about it but let me break it down more. Basically, Vitamin C regulates the synthesis of the structural protein collagen when it comes to increasing collagen production. In other words, Vitamin C plays a vital role in collagen production. We thought this would help bring some insight into what collagen is and exactly why we need it. I don't know about you, but when I have a better idea of what exactly my skincare is doing, I'm more comfortable using it.
